Kym Smith

As an entrepreneur with a lifelong pursuit of learning and helping others, Kym Smith has earned a reputation throughout the industry for “getting the job done!”
 
After graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in Finance, Kym decided to utilize her educational experience and passion for helping others by launching Xtra Pair of Hands, LLC; a business consulting and staffing agency. The company bridges the gap by focusing primarily on small business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations.
 
In 2007, Kym Smith was awarded the Atlanta Legend’s Ball Award; and in 2009 she was nominated for an award from the Atlanta Business League. 
 
Ms. Smith is passionate about giving back to the community; in the past she has partnered with comedian Chris Tucker to give back to the community through the NFL Boys & Girls Club by providing school supplies and toys to needy kids in Atlanta.
 
In 2017, Ms. Smith founded Kym Kares, a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization created for the specific purpose of promoting economic growth and independence of disadvantaged young women who have aged out of the foster care system.  The organization provides transitional housing, career development, and support services to help teens navigate through life while establishing their own path.
 
Ms. Smith holds an MBA and a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland in Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management.
